Resident Evil 4 is a survival horror video game developed and published by Capcom. The sixth major installment in the Resident Evil series, it was originally released for the GameCube in 2005. The story follows U.S. government special agent Leon S. Kennedy, who is sent on a mission to rescue Ashley Graham, the U.S. President's daughter, who has been kidnapped by a cult. The game pioneered a new style of third-person perspective gameplay, with an over-the-shoulder view that has since become a standard in the genre.
